The "Big Lie"

Before WWI everyone viewed war as a glorious thing, fighting for your country and defeating the enemies, but all that changed durring the war.  People saw what War could do to a person and a country, how it could so easily kill and destroy the innocence of young men.  That is why World War I was referred to as the "Big Lie", because everyone's perspective on war changed.  This brought forth one of the most significant results of the war which was people questioning everything they ever knew, which was also referred to as the "Age of Anxiety".
